Self improvement

Self improvement Ephesians 5:16-17 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. Redeeming- is to buy up, to rescue from loss(improve opportunity) One thing is certain we can all look back and see where we have lost time. So how do we redeem time? I believe the way to buy it up is to learn from our yesterdays. Failures in the past ought to be a stepping stone for today. We ought to cease on every chance to make read more...

What A Service This Morning!

We had an Amazing Service this morning if you missed it!  Once again the Lord passed our way and blessed us with His presence.  The morning devotion turned into a full Sunday School hour as Pastor Bowen called several men from the floor to share what the Lord had laid on their hearts.  It's amazing how the Lord knit those three messages to the regular worship hour message from the Pastor.  Another reason we call this "An Amazing Grace Place". Come join us next week!

Salvation comes by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ

Salvation comes not by "accepting the finished work" or "deciding for Christ." It comes by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, the whole, living, victorious Lord who, as God and man, fought our fight and won it, accepted our debt as His own and paid it, took our sins and died under them and rose again to set us free. This is the true Christ, and nothing less will do. But something less is among us, nevertheless, and we do well to identify it so that we may repudiate it. That something is a read more...

MAJORING ON THE MINOR

MAJORING ON THE MINOR These ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Matthew 23:23 Jesus was not preaching mainly on tithing here. Some have emphasized the negative side of this admonition until it has been overlooked that our Lord is pleading for “the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy and faith.” When Christians “major on the major,” put first things first, and give proper attention to their faith in and fellowship with Christ, they will not leave lesser read more...

Persistence of Jesus

Persistence of Jesus. John 21:17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. This that took place was not to drive a wedge between Peter and the Lord. The care of the Master repeating His question was to get Peter to realize what was on the inside of him. Where is our read more...

DONT HANG IT UP

DONT HANG IT UP Psalm 137:1-2 By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. As man there are times we mess up and then we just stop trying. This has become our spiritual mind as well. God has no intentions for His people to "hang it up." We will mess up and the Lord knows that, this is why His mercies are new every morning. Focus on Him and get back on track. shared by Bro Jeremy

Just Dig A Ditch

Just dig a ditch. 2 Kings 3:16 And he said, Thus saith the Lord, Make this valley full of ditches. It was not the Lord that made this valley full of ditches. The people had to work to get what they asked for. They had a need for today which was water, God met their need and went beyond and defeated the enemy. May we quit worrying about today and just dig our ditch today and God will meet our needs. How big your ditch is how much we want The Lord to fill it.   Shared by Bro read more...

God uses broken things

Shared from our Pastor:   "God uses broken things. It takes broken soil to produce a crop, broken clouds to give rain, broken grain to give bread, broken bread to give strength. It is the broken alabaster box that gives forth perfume. It is Peter, weeping bitterly, who returns to greater power than ever." - Vance Havner
