Comforting words.

Comforting words.

Matthew 10:29-31 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

In this chapter we find the Lord telling of the trials and test that the disciples would face. The Lord gives them truth about the hardness of the journey, yet here in these verses we find words of comfort for their journey. The Lord speaks words of assurance, showing that each trial we face is noticed by God. We can rest assure that the Lord knows exactly what we are facing. We also see words of acceptance, meaning that we need not to struggle with the fact that God understands. Too often the devil will slip beside us with a question of doubt does anyone care? O yes He cares!! He also has words of application, the words that he spoke were not just for one of the disciples, but for all of them. Theses words are still for us today. May we hold our head up with resting in the promises of God.
